Homework Help

For the first week of school we will be going over Rules and Procedures and how they will help us accomplish a fun filled year. In order to help the students understand Rules and Procedures better I have asked them make a list of 10 Rules or Procedures they have to follow at home and 10 they have to follow at school. I have sent a worksheet home that will enable students to list them in column format which will help us compare and contrast Rules and Procedures from home and school.

Good Luck!
Ms. Medley

Events

This year will be packed full of activities, remember everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!

Here are just a few you can mark on your calendars:

PRE-pared will be every Monday and Wednesday starting August 31 from 7:30-8:00 a.m. and 3:00-3:45 p.m. This is preparation tutorial that will help with test anxiety, vocabulary, and more! This will be beneficial to all students!

Open House is Tuesday, September 1st starting after school until 8 p.m. If you are not able to make Open House because of day or time conflict feel free to call or e-mail me so we can set up a time to meet.

Oral Reading this will take place once a 6 weeks and parents I would love to invite each and everyone of you into our classroom everyday, but especially on Oral Reading Days. On these days we will have prepared a reading sample that has been practiced and rehearsed just for the parents. The first will be a play, Flowers for Algernon, on Wednesday, September 30th during the time your student is in my class.
